I would like to see some more variations on this style of hood. This is the only one I have seen. I called around and finally talked to the guy's brother who made this hood and from what I remember it was more or less a one of a kind. He didn't seem interested in mass producing them. Too bad.

Functional would be the only reason I would by this hood. It MUST be functional . Who cares if a little water gets in your engine bay. It's a car. If you honestly never think water gets under your hood (unless you never go out in the rain or wash your car) then you are just kidding yourself.
I don't think it would need anything to direct the air to the air filter either. Those scoops are large enough and the filter is right up front, when your doing 60+ on the freeway you should be getting plenty of air in there.

I think the bottom would look something like the hoods that they have right now. It looks like most of their hoods have air duct to the air filter...

It probably look like this picture. Just wondering how much this hood would go for....

I would order this hood in a heartbeat if it were functional. I would want the front scoops just open and not directed to the stock air box area. The rear heat extractors should also be open and both openings should be covered on the inside of the hood with wire mesh. I think this would provide plenty of cooling air without the extra fiberglass required to make a route to the air box. I would also like the extra metal support for the hinges and latch so that hood pins would not be required.

why have the scoops open and not have them direct the air directly the stock airbox?

Some people don't have the air filters in the stock location so it would be a waste to have it routed there. I would prefer to just have the air go directly into the engine compartment.

are you refering to the KB SCs? do those go into the wheel wells like on the older stangs? would you still be happy with the option of directing it over both locations, assuming the body shop would make the cuts to make functional, this way you can go to stock, to passenger side, or both or none all with the same hood
