Thumbs up

I finally found a cowl hood that I like at Champion Fiberglass Products, http://www.championfiberglassproduct...norshelby.html

Does anyone have experience with the quality? I don't want to get a hood and have to spend lots of $$ to make it look good. I have read that Steeda cowl hoods need minimal work to paint and look good. With the relatively low price of Champion's hoods, I am worried that extra work will be needed and any price savings over a hood from Steeda will be offset.

That is where I got my 2nd Fiberglass hood from. First came from Cervinis. The Cervivis hood took about 1 hr of prep to get painted. The Champion hood took 2 hrs. But was almost $200.00 less than Cervinis. I choose the Champion's hood and a little more prep work but I can do the body work myself. How much is the Steeda hood?

I would really like to see a picture of your car Steve with the Champion hood installed. I have been looking at that hood for quite awhile.

If this Champion Fiberglass Products (located in Cincinnati, OH) is a new name for Cincinnati Composites, then I would preceed with caution.

I remember reading old threads about lots of people having problems with Cincinnati Composites Products http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.ph...threadid=123549

Are just a few.

It's the same company. See post #73.

QUOTE

Yes, for the record, Cincinnati Composites IS Cobra Auto Designs AND Champion Fiberglass. Doug is the owner and Susan is his wife. [/b][/quote]

If you need more info to make a decision, just do a word search on "Cincinnati Composites".

If I were you, I would look elsewhere
