so is there any update on this grille??? I am in for a GT one with no fogs or pony if it ever happens.
Looks like it'll be a while until that version comes out... if at all, since the center fogs grille isn't expected until next year.

I know that feeling.... I couldn't wait anymore and ordered the SS grille. Now they're telling me they're backordered and I'll have to wait till Jan-Feb next year! :bang:
It's always the line you quit that starts moving faster...

I thought about giving in and getting that grille also, but I just can't stand the thought of putting a piece of metal grading on my car. It's also called expanded metal and it's just as cheap as it looks. You can always go down to your local scrap steel yard and get some. For that small of a section, they'd probably just give it to you for free.

I'll give CDC a couple more weeks and see what they come up with.

Well I guess it would probably bug you to know that I bumped this back to the top. So don't read this.

Hey guys, just dropping in with an update. For those wondering and questioning the authenticity of this product, it is 100% real. I just got through talking with the manufacturer and they will be giving me an update sometime today on the status.

Thanks for being patient so far.

Jeff,
Why not tell us who the manufacturer is? Are we going to be buying the grill from them or through a distributor?

ya, I'm not sure I understand what the point is of playing middleman to the manufacturer.

IMHO

It's called Profit....

If there wasn't money involved, I think we would have known who the mfgr was a long time ago..

OR

The original pictures were PhotoChopped and now that interest has been displayed - Someone's trying to make what's virtual into reality...

Now mind you these are my opinions only. .. . .. .. . ..

This is my opinion, and I may be wrong, but I believe Jeff was asked not to say the manufacturer's name until they have these grilles ready to sell to the public. I'm sure they needed to consider a lot of things before mass producing these things, and didn't want to "drop the bomb" too early. This is pretty common for smaller manufacturers making a brand new part.

Jeff is only a couple of hours down the road from me. I would gladly go pick one up and test fit it to my vehicle if they need someone to lend a hand in the R&D process

IF this pic is photochopped (which I highly doubt it is) I'm VERY impressed.

Agreed! I think that it does exist, just taking a bit longer to get it into the channels. I for one am really looking forward to it. I want to make mine just a bit different thant the others in my area, and this would be the ticket!

I agree: we see the pix of this new grill and are all excited because this grill option is closer match to the existing lower grill + has correct mesh layout to integrate with the car. The Street Scenes grill doesn't excite me, and based upon other threads, so do a sampling of other people.

Just like with the painted side mirror overlays, it appears to take some time (months even) for a company to go from initial demo phase to production-quality product.

Jeff: thanks for the update! Keep us informed on the status of development and production.

DO NOT BUY THE STREET SCENE GRILL!!!! the fogs do not fit correctly into it, it leaves a gap, and it is very fragile. u will not be able to get all of the screws that hold the fogs in. there are a bunch of people complaining about it, either on stangnet or modularfords. just wait for the good one!
