CDC Dynamite Stick Sequentials?
#1
WEll broke down today and ordered the CDC sequential light kit. Has anyone installed yet and how did installation go. Supposedly the easiest kit out there. I guess I will see. I like the name, Dynamite Stick Sequentials. I just want a nice quality plug and play sequential system. It says no splicing etc. So hope its nice and easy/quality is good. WEll if anyone has installed please comment, I havent seen any comments on the CDC system. Thanks
Well I installed the dynamite stick sequentials from CDC, wasnt hard at all, took about 30 minutes. I highly recommend them, as it is pretty easy to go back to stock, and very straightforward. I love them, everyone that has checked them out really digs em. So for any that were thinking about getting them, its two finger up here. I just dont really think they should be that much. Its basically two wiring harnesses, that plug right up, that have the sequencer module built into the small harnesses. You just plug them together, and there is a single wire, that you have to run into the original harness, there is a slot open in the factory bulb housing that it plugs right into. No flasher etc to plug in. Just , have to take out light assembly, and a few minutes clicking together. good luck to all.

I will be ordering them as well Dan and from there write up it sounds like it plugs in between the rear wireing harness .There are people here on the forum that for the fox bodys that have them they say that they are "dead relyable" .
The only thing I would like to know is this the one with the "burst pattern" for the brake light ,I don't think I can have that type up here.

I bought the kit off Ebay for $50 and $4 S&H. If I have to run wires, and splice in, etc. I'm not paying $130. I'll spend the $80 someplace else. JMO

If I'm not mistaken the only additional wiring that the CDC sequentials requires is a single conductor that has to be run through the rubber gasket between the trunk and each taillight. This conductor plugs into the empty slot in the inbound light connector.
Otherwise it sounds like the install is pretty straightforward.

I ordered the CDC Dynamite Stick Sequentials from www.mustangracing.com and installed them last weekend. The install was very simple and I am pleased with the result. I have some minor tips concerning the installation:
I suggest that you have a soft towel, pair of needle nose pliers, a small bladed screw driver and a wipe cloth at hand, in addition to the recommended tools in the instructions. This saves multiple trips back and forth to find them during the install.
I used the towel to protect the lens of taillight assembly when working with it in my lap. I was warned by a friend that they scratch easily.
After making a hole in the gasket as instructed, use the needle nose pliers to push/pull the spade connector through. The best place to locate the hole seems to be in the groove of the gasket close to the other wires. The groove acts a good guide for the awl. This also places the wires close together when tapping then up with electrical tape.
The gasket has dielectric grease inside. Your spade connector will be covered with it when you push it through the gasket. Use the wipe cloth to clean the connector before placing it in the bulb assembly. You will not be able to pull the spade connector out and clean it once it has clicked into place.
The spade connector should be aligned the same way as the other connectors in the bulb assembly. You can check this by looking at the crimp on the spade connector and comparing it with the other connectors already in the bulb assembly. (The instructions did not seem clear to me when comparing them to the bulb assembly.) Use the small bladed screw driver to push on the shoulder of the spade connector until it clicks into place.

Wow!!! Just last night I saw those on CDC's site and you guys read my mind, trying to decide between these and the ones from WebElectric (I don't want to splice wires, etc. I want a "plug-n-play" setup)!!! Someone who has them on the way please write it up once you get it!!!
Atingle - Do you have the CDC kit or the Web Electric??? I don't see either on the mustangracing.com site??? Thanks for the detailed write up either way!!
Thanks!

I think they all "burst" when you hit the brakes. Mine bursts once but stay completely on, so I dont see any illegal problems. It lights up from the inner to out, and just stays on. So I dont see any legal problems, although I couldbe wrong.

I installed the WEB lights and like them how ever like CDC they are not cheap but it was an easy install and they work great. Pleased!! Send them a money order if you want them by return mail as it took ten days for my check to clear.

I went with the Web Electric sequential tail light kit.Not cutting splicing just r/r the the wiring harness for each side did it in the parking park of my condo.Put a blanket down in the trunk and laid the tail light assemblies down on it,took all of 30 minutes. They sequence a liitle faster than I like but still look OK.Burst mode works when you first apply the brakes just the first time.I read that after releasing the brake for atleast ten seconds then reaply brakes burst mode set one time. Also if flashers are on the tail lights sequence continuesly. They look great and you can always send back original harness for a forty dollar rebate.

I installed the web electronic ones http://www.webelectricproducts.com/ The ones where you splice it into your existing wires. If you guys are afraid of doing this,,,,,,don't be. It requires nothing more than the plug and play type really. You have to read a little but I know NOTHING about electrical stuff and had them working in 35 minutes. You don't even have to cut the wires. It comes with these blue things that you slip over the wire and mash with plyers. It cuts into the wire and makes the conection. I am telling you it is realy very simple. Take your time and read it twice and it may take you 1 hour, but so what, you are spending time with your Mustang anyway. One more thing............these are really one of the coolest things that I have done to my car. I see people behind me pointing all the time.

The few reasons I went with CDC. First there reputation, and quality of products in the past. Second, dont have to send anything off. I can return to factory with a click. I just didnt want any hassles, didnt want to crimp anything etc,. They sequence flawlessly, and as stated can return to factory very quickly with a unsnap, snap. I didnt want to give up my harness etc. But I am sure all are very comparable. I went on reputation, and ease of install. Good luck to all, they look great.
