I'd order a CDC ducktail right now if it covered factory holes without those gawdawful looking 'braces'. Going with streetscenes here shortly unless someone talks me out of it.

I like the Streetscenes ductail even more than CDC, but the sscenes doesn't cover the holes either. I've checked with people that have them.

From reading this, I'm assuming they sell a version that does cover the holes..

Street Scene Duck Tail Spoiler 2005 Mustang
Street Scene Duck Tail Spoiler 2005 Mustang
Q&A:

Q: Does this part use the existing holes for standard spoiler?

A: No this part is actually installed onto the rear facing edge of the trunk lid. No part of the wing extends onto the top of the trunk lid, where the holes would be. However, our Gen 2 Spoiler 950-70739 does extend onto the top surface and actually covers the holes left by the factory wing. We provide a bolt and rubber garment to plug the holes.

Q: Does this part require trunk strut adjustments to install?

A: No, we have these wings mounted on both of our Mustangs and no adjustment is required.

Q: Does it come with bolts and tape to install?

A: Yes, it comes with the 3M tape required to install.

http://www.streetsceneeq.com/

I was unable to find it on their web site and a google search only really pulled up this link:
http://www.paceparts.com/index.asp?PageAct...D&ProdID=153140

There was no picture, just a price there. If SSE does make one that will cover the factory holes, I would be interested in this. I just poked around the SSE site and found this link: http://www.streetsceneeq.com/gallery_list....mi=14&x=24&y=10

Look at the Street Scenes green mustang. Wonder if that is the new one that they are referring to. If that is it, not for me.

Bummer, assumed it was a ducktail.

OK, has anyone tried this one?

3dCarbon™ 2005 Mustang 3 Piece Rear “Duck Tail” spoiler FACTORY PAINTED

3dCarbon™ 2005 Mustang 3 Piece Rear “Duck Tail” spoiler FACTORY PAINTED
The 3 Piece Rear “Duck Tail” spoiler is manufactured in High Pressure polyurethane and attaches to the deck lid and quarter panels. No screws or hole drilling is required. The spoiler attaches with OE approved 3M Double Face Tape.
The 3 Piece spoiler can be installed on Mustangs with the Factory GT Spoiler. The width of the 3 Piece spoiler from front to rear is enough to cover the 4 –Holes from the factory spoiler.

A little pricey, but considering it comes painted maybe it's not a bad deal?

I used the 'contact us' form the other day and asked if Vista Blue was an option - the webmaster wrote back saying "my bad" and added it. My guess is Tungsten should also be an option.

Yep. I have it and love it. When I got mine they didn't have the factory painted version. Between the cost of the "naked" spoiler and the cost of having it painted, it's cheaper to get it pre-painted.

Cool, thanks for the pic! Umm, it appears to be as large as the stock spoiler, I was hoping for something a smidge smaller.
