Can we ever expect aftermarket calipers?

I really dont care for the calipers on these stangs. maybe some of you previous/current SN95 owners can answer this. Did aftermarket calipers ever come out for the stock rotors? I'm talking about nice smooth colored ones. I think they would sell like wildfire for the 05+ stangs. I want to get slotted/drilled rotors soon, but putting those on with the stock calipers turns me off. I don't want to spend huge money for Brembos or Baers and have clearance issues with my rims..etc.

What is there not to like about them. Appearance or function?

I don't think an aftermarket set of calipers ever came out for SN95's that was stock size. You could upgrade to a 13" brake package that came on the bullitt, mach 1, or cobra, and have their brake calipers. But for stock rotors, I don't think anything was made.

On my 2000, I just painted the factory rotors. That made them smooth, therefore a lot easier to keep clean.

I can't stand how ugly the S197 calipers look. Once some warmer weather comes, I am probably going to paint them too. Don't know what color yet (black, red, or gray), but it needs something. I have the "dirt that won't come off except with a pressure washer" look.
