Can a V6 grille be modified to fit a GT?
I'll tell 'ya Jason, those people at CDC are the best. And.....if you ever bite and buy their chin spoiler, you'll get an idea of how great their quality is too. So...we'll keep our fingers crossed that they come out with something that's exactly what you've described.

I'm a pessimist so, like I said I won't get my hopes up yet. She was a little too vague in the description when she was comparing it to what I have in mind.
I got REAL excited over having a Shelby style ducktail spoiler for my car and was REAL disapointed when all the aftermarket ones cames out.

I just wish Ford would have used the same grille in both, just added foglights to the GT grille. Even the honeycomb openings are different sizes on the two grilles. Also, they shouldn't have integrated the horse into the plastic. It should have been a completely seperate piece.
Here's what I was planning on doing and why I didn't want or need the fogs. (this pic is "borrowed" from another TMS member and then photochopped)
EDIT: I just realized I put the wrong picture in here. The other one had fog lights. THIS is what I want.

If you're refering to this pic...

Believe it or not that's a Roush front fascia! Personally I can't stand the look of the '05+ Roush Mustang, but the front fascia by itseld is one of the best looking ones out there.
BTW, the pic belongs to 05-1947 and the grille photochop was done by AFBlue. I did the really bad color change myself.

so, has anyone heard anything else on this topic lately?

either way actually. I know you can fit a GT fascia ona V6 but get a gap because the grill is a different size. I liek the GT facia over the V6 one but don't want the gap so i'm waiting for someone to make a V6 looking grill (or very similar) that will fit the GT fascia.
Haven't heard anything from CDC, but there is another thread about a GT grille with center fogs that looks exactly like a stock grille. The guy who has it is being very secretive about who made it so no word on whether they will be making one with no fogs & no pony.

I would like to see something a little different also offered on the GT grille.
It would be a subtle change of moving the fogs out so that they are flush with the pillars. Gives it more of a 69 style look and allows for the use of a tribar pony offset to the drivers side without being cramped. Top is the original (JAXXON's car)
Jaxxon, Hope you don't mind that I borrowed your car. It was the first one I found with a nice grille shot.

Or how about something like this? I always thought the outside lower panels would be a good place for some rectangular fog lights. Might be a good place for fog lights on the upcoming CA special so that it is somewhat similiar to the look of 68 California Special.
