uhh, install a painted lower grille????????
I deleted mine all together, thought it looked ugly (IMO) like a cheese grater also.

Wow, you guys give me too much credit. Just painted the lower bumper grill, that's all. Chalk this one up to another, "Should've came that way from the factory."

Wasn't thinking when I posted this, probably should be in exterior mods.

Here's the last pic. Please ignore my messy garage. I'm also in the middle of remodeling my bathroom.

I agree it looks good. I removed mine completely, and cut out the slots/filler on the outter openings.

some of the early 05's in the magazines look like the were painted before, or they didn't have the honey comb/cheese grater on them. I've noticed a few since I removed mine completely
Looks 10 times better than original...good job

Definitely an improvement! I think I might have to pull this out and have it painted when I have my mirrors painted body color. Good job!

I've got a friend who's a painter at a bodyshop, he took care of it for me. If I were to guess, cost would be around $100. He had to paint the whole thing red, then clear it, then tape/mask the whole thing off except for the honeycomb, then paint the honeycomb black. Couldn't just tape off the honeycomb because paint still would've blown past due to the shape/texture of the cheese graters. Of course, he lightly sanded the whole thing and applied an adhesion promoter first. The more I think about it, cost would probably be a little over the $100.

Oh sixty-six... I did it myself hugh, does it look that bad?

Nicely done, John.

Again, you're gonna get a lot of people wanting to mod their 'Stangs like yours! Hope Tyson doesn't see this thread. He might blow a gasket.

Actually, it looks that good

I just made an assumption based on the garage
