Sorry guys that I haven't been around to answer any questions.
Looks like it may be our turn to get hit with a storm here in Houston.
Trying to batten down the hatches in anticipation for the worst.

No problem matching paint. The body shop got it right on the first batch they mixed up. I get a lot of comments on how well the paint matches, even. I also love the '68 Shelby hood, but it isn't functional, and it's more expensive.

Looks great, Jim! ![Thumb](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
Those first few pix were a tease; they didn't get much larger when I clicked on them! But I'm glad you posted the "sunny day" pix. They really did the car justice. Good luck with your ride and enjoy all of the accolades!

This problem I am having posting pics is driving me nuts. I did, however, manage to put a few pics in the gallery section of TMS. When you click on them, they are nice and big. I have more if there are requests.

That settles it.
I am getting this hood.
Well, when I have money, that is.![04](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/04.gif)
So, which company sells functional hood pins?

We don't have Pep Boys around here, but we do have Auto Zone. The pins I used are the exact same ones that Steve used on his Windveil Blue Ca. Dream hood. I agree with him that the scuff plates are too thin. I put a rubber backing (pond liner) behind the scuff plates, and the keys immediately gouged the plates. At least the gouges are covered when the keys are in. The package said that all parts were stainless steel, but the keys are actually chromed, and they started flaking right away, so I am looking for some stainless steel keys or hitch pins. Hopefully I can find some straight ones with the torsion rings on one end. No luck so far. Any ideas?

Sorry, I don't have any pics of the underside of the hood. I don't have a CAI yet, so the hood isn't really functional just yet. Mechanically, I'm stock, and the hood looks just like the underside that has been shown elsewhere here. A body shop installed the hood. They said it fit very well for fiberglass, but there were adjustments here and there that needed to be made. And yes, you definately need the pins. The hood shook something awful before I pinned it. It's quite solid now. Check out the thread on adding pins that Steve wrote up. I printed it and used it as directions, and it worked just great. BTW, you can't put the keys in straight front-to-back. They have to be angled towards the grille pony to go with the slope of the hood.
