Can I have any testimonials from people that have the california dream hood, or comments from ppl that don't?

I'm considering getting this hood for my sonic blue stang, but wonder about the ability to stripe it after I get this hood on. Because of the way the scoops are distributed over the hood, I think that stripes may look goofy. I need help people...I think the cali dream hood with hood pins would look pretty sweet, but I've planned on striping my car...so I don't know what I should do
Maybe as an alternative, I could go with the Elenor hood....but I'm not sure how sweet it would look on SB..[attachmentid=47923]
Sorry for being all over the board here, I just need some help

Well, I don't have mine from back from the shop yet, but I can tell you that my paint guy said the hood fits better than any other hood that he's seen. Also, you can do what RK Sports have on their website (just paint the two stripes starting where the openings are), or paint everything between the two openings... or leave it all blue!

We have the Cali hood and love it but we're not planning on any stripes. There is a member here [can't remember his name] that has the hood and stripes and it looks amazing. Give him a few days to see if he sees your post.
Also I like the suggestion rony1976 stated. There is another member {BPMURR I think} that has his Cali hood painted like that...

I also thought about doing stripes on my car, but decided to leave it the way it was.
I think the body lines are enough.
The stripes I think would also look good the way VegasJay did them on his car.

ya'l are gonna hate me if I tell you how much the whole thing set me back.....
I know the paint guy, so prepped, primed and painted (and installed of course) is a mere $150, a joke really. Cost of the entire project is under $500... (including hood and S&H)

Erik.
I found this shot of the hood with stripes from an add for Califonia Mustang.
Don't know if they are painted or tape.

My son put a CA Dream Hood on his sonic blue mustang, it looks better without stripes, I didn't care for these on the picture. Make sure you use hood pins, no matter what anyone tells you, they will shake and his did.
good luck with your install..........

Whoa.... That almost makes me want to add the stripes afterall. I love Vegasjays car, but that one in Sonic hits close to home. And I was thinking about the center fogs, anyway. Thanks for the pic. As far as the CD hood goes, I have no complaints. You will need pins, though. Mine gets a lot of attention, and kinda makes the car more unique. I even have other GT owners come up and comment on my "special edition". I tell them that it's mail-order, they can do it to, and always turn them on to TMS.

I got mine back, and it's to die for... I won't be able to take pics, as I'm going out of town today, and I'll be back by the end of the week, but they are coming.

I just got to have the "California Dream Hood" and I am also going with the "California Dream Front Fenders"
Still deciding which Quarter Vents and Lower Vents look the MEANEST.

I did a search earlier today for RK sport..... sounds like everyone's pretty pleased with this! Now I just have to find a descent paint and body shop....
BIG Thanks to everyone who replied to my "RK Sport" thread. I'll just leave this here rather than bump both threads up again.
