Dude... I would totally buy that hood... you SHOULD compete with them. That's the problem with all these aftermarket hoods.

The fiber is heavier, and there are all kinds of fitment issues it seems with people having to use hood pins etc.

I would love to have a stock hood that fits, is aluminum, and looks this cool

If you are using your orig. hood, you might look at $500 for welding
and probably another $700 for plastic and paint.

I would love to get this hood, i've been waiting for it to come on the market, But.....

Legend05...I got in touch with Tiger Automotive, the CDN retailer for this hood as per the Keystone web site. They want $1158cdn for the hood + $70cdn shipping, I don't like that much!!

Well if you go stock home made, you are looking at:
$800 for stock hood
$600-$700 cutting and welding
$600 body work and paint.
Thats 2g's
Didnt cost me that much.
If you have freinds in the welding and body bussiness
you should saved some $$$$

p.s. where are ya from?

Shouldn't have to pay $800 for a stock hood. My body shop guy has one off an 05 that he offered me for $300 but I see your point regarding costs.

Question

http://www.dallasmustang.com/page/pr...product=205349

This is listed under sheetmetal hoods. I would assume it's made of aluminum being it's only 50 pounds. Has anyone installed one of these bad boys?

We finally received the Whipple Charger from Whipple and installed it on the 3dCarbon Boy Racer. It fits without problems under the hood. Maybe this hood is different from the production units. Doesn't look like there would be issues with either the Roush or Saleen units either.
