Boy Racer Hood Now Available!
3dCARBON is pleased to announce the availability of the much anticipated Mustang Boy-Racer™ hood. The hood was first introduced at the International SEMA show in Las Vegas and has since appeared in many major magazines and at several enthusiast events.
In an effort to best serve 3dCARBON customers, a decision was made to collaborate with Keystone Restyling Products to manufacture and distribute this hood directly to distributors.
3dCARBON’s expertise at this time is in closed molded High Pressure Polyurethane. Keystone is best suited for composite applications. This alliance will allow 3dCARBON to continue focusing on urethane parts in the various markets we serve.
While the design is based on the original 3dCARBONBoy Racer™, Keystone is solely responsible for the manufacturing, distributing and servicing of issues related to this fiberglass hood. All inquiries 3dCARBON has received will be forwarded to Keystone for follow up and processing.
The hood will fit most 2005-2007 Mustang GTs. Due to some clearance issues, the hood will not fit on 2005-2007 Mustangs with the following engines & modifications:
TMS's own Kevin "05stangkc" Casey will be the official supplier of this hood to members of TheMustangSource.com.

it is an AWESOME hood and way better than the GT500 with $550 for the two vents PLUS price of the hood itself...but to me it is just a stock hood with the heat extractor dips

it is a heat extractor hood like the 03 Cobras but it is a factory height hood with the dips that is why you can not use it with a Vortech or Roush because they have pipeing right where the dips start but a Whipple, KB, or Saleen looks like and option...something that does not go past the throttle...plus hood have always come in Fiberglass or Carbon Fiber because it is harder for companies to make metal hoods like the stock ones are

How much does the thing weigh? I'm guessing it's lighter than the stock metal hood, and looking at the ProCharger P-1SC install kit I'm guessing it will fit that OK, but I'd appreciate knowing for sure.
Anybody with a ProCharger fitted that could test for clearance?

You can bet it's heavier than the stock hood. The stock hood is aluminum... I'm with vc4Life... I would pay more for an aluminum version... so for me I suppose I'll stick with the stocker.
I've thought about the Saleen aluminum, but I don't know if it would look right.

Better metal. Took awhile but got her done.
I dont understand, Patti said no S/C. but the boy racer is supercharged.
There is hardly any room under there.
Any lower, I would have had to re-locater the rad bottle.
