blackout grille needs to look better in the daylight

i installed the cdc black billet grille in my 07 gt and it looksa really good.
well it looks really good at noght but in the daytime when the sun hits it you can see everything behind there.
what would be the best way to hide that stuff. and that stuff meaning the radiatot so its not so noticeable?

anybody have any ideas?

Yep - I noticed the same thing about other cars when Street Scene released their center fog grille. So before I installed the grille, I masked off the entire front of the car and sprayed everything behind the grille (except the radiator/AC condenser) a flat black.

You have a black GT? Can you share a pic of the black CDC on it?

Thanks,

do they sell a black radiator cover or something because its the radiator that makes it stick out so bad. maybe cut a black mesh screen the size of the grille and oput it back there or something.

any one got more ideas?

No just get some duplicolor flat black paint. Paint everything, the radiator, supports, lines, even the horn. Tape it off 1/2" in front of the inner bumper cover opening lip and make sure you get the mounting tabs for the stock grille. 10000% improvement.

under flash no less:

normal lighting:

billet grilles are a horror show without it, from a distance it looks like someone stole your grille. Black grilles make it even more obvious. I had it on for all of 1 hour before doing it. I couldn't stand it. A $5 can of paint allows a black grille to stand out enough to give depth. Some masking tape, a couple old blankets/towels and good to go. just make an effort to get all the angles in there with a bunch of light coats.

Hey, how in the World did you guys get your stock grills out?

I was trying to get mine out, but those plastic tabs in the grill just wouldn't come out of the metal slots in the body! Errr!

Nothing's easy I guess!

OK, well I got mine out, but at a price! Taco Bill said that doing mods puts you in touch with your Mustang, well mine touched back! The OEM grill came out all at once. See pic #1. Wonderfull the way these water proof band aids work!

But I did get my billet grill in. I'm not sure I like how far back it sits, but I can always change that. I just added some better pics taken today!

What do you guys think?
