Black rims on white Gt?
#1
I am getting really close to pulling the trigger on a performance white GT with red interior. I have been thinking about what wheels to put on. One of the wheels I am considering is the Falken Koblenz in Black with a chrome lip. See the link below. The dealership had a black Roush with these rims in black 19x9 up front and 19 x 10.5 out back. It looked bad ***!!! The rear 10.5 set up allowed the tire to extend about 5mm beyond the wheel well (just barely). This gave the car a very aggressive look without sticking out too far and looking "blingeriffic". Let me know what you guys think. Weight is supposed to be about 30-32 pounds

Can a brotha get some pics up in here?
Post a pic of that black car with black rims. I've been thinking of doing that but am scared to pull the trigger. I really like those rims.

All I can say is you can't go wrong with black rims on a light colored car, or a black car.
I'll never forget a white ZR1 with black ZR1 wheels, with machined lips.... it was amazing!!!!
Black wheels set off cars like silver, white, grey, and black.
Much like chrome wheels set off darkers colored cars.
I'm getting black wheels... in a month or so.

I think they would look great. I'm thinking about putting the same rims but Gunmetal on my Silver GT when it comes in. I'm probably going to go with 19x9.5 (they don't make a 19x9) all around so I can do a front to back rotation. Do you know what the correct offset is?
Here is a pic from the Falken site with the rim on a 04 GT.

I'll have to take some close ups of the wheels. When I try to lower the resolution on my current pics so they load here , it's hard to see the details on the black wheels ...

Thanks for all of the responses. I did not have my camera with me when I saw the Black Roush and it apparently has since been sold.
To the person with the gray TSWs, they are sweet. Same dealership has a white/red with TSW Kyalami's which are very similar and it looks great. I am just not sure whether to go for gray or black.
Keep the replies coming and please post pics if you've got them
