Anyone try VHT Tint?
Anyone try VHT Tint?
So I'm interested in getting the blackout look on my fog lights. Problem is I'm not sure if I will want to keep it and therefore not sure its worth spending $50 from AM. Has anyone tried VHT tint and does it come off?

I tried a can of the VHT on some project (can't remember what) and it gets dark fast and is pretty hard to spray in a light even coat without big time orange peel. I could never figure out how to do it right
Contact Youngstang he's saleing some taillight Vinyals $50 plus shipping. I just received mine there pretty good quiality and gives you the 13 look and still allows lots of light through. I'll post pics as soon as i get them installed..

I've used it and there was another member on here that told me what to use. I used VHT and then sprayed clear. They came out fantastic. Here's pictures of the process...
Mine didn't matter as much bc I intend on putting them behind the grille, but they still came out great. If you treat them like anything else you're painting - sanding between coats and wet sanding the final product it comes out like glass. Ask wades gt or look for the thread where he told me what to use... He posted pictures of taillights he'd done and they looked like glass
First picture- one sanded, one stock
Second picture- one coat oh VHT
Third picture- either after two or three coats of VHT
Fourth picture- with clear on it
I followed someone else's thread on the internet that did their mustang. If you search "VHT tint how to/tutorial mustang forum" you should find everything you need to know. Very user friendly. They came out great and I didn't even wet sand them. However I don't know if it's reversible... I want to say its not...

I am also debating smoking my fog lights. I found a can of VHT in my closet that I didn't remember buying, but I am also leaning toward the new vinyl shades from AM. Decisions. Decisions. The fog lights are the last thing to smoke out on mine.
