I'm just going to do what a lot of others have done, cut the factory one down to size. Looks like I will do that tonight. I am getting sick of looking at this CB antenna wannabe. Besides, this way it won't cost me a dime.

Here is a picture of the one PepBoys has,its either 9.99 or 19.99 don't remember but I can find out if you wamt one

Bill, be carefull with that antenna. I had the same one since I received the car. Last week I went to the car wash and as I was spraying my car down the hose hit the antenna and it snapped at the base. I've got the 8" one from Mustang Tuning now and it works fine. Just a FYI for ya.

How did you get the hose that close to the car to hit the antenna?

The hose comes down from the top of the bay and swings around with you as you spray the car. It hit the antenna and the antenna snapped. There was nothing to the antenna, you get what you pay for.

It looks like I can take my antenna off my car,the only station I listen to(oldies) just went off the air or should I say changed their music to something else. This is the third time the oldies went belly up.Maybe I can learn to sing and amuse myself without the radio.Thank goodness I only bought the Shaker 500.

Bill, ya got a six disc MP3 player, that's enough to fit 60-70 ALBUMS in your car, you could have every song from the fifties through the seventies and still have room for more. Who needs a radio??

Of course, there's always Sirius...

60-70 albums is a lot? I have somewhere between 300 and 500 on my last count. Boy do I love my IPOD but they need to make a 200 GB one for me. That’s what happens when you listen to every type of music but country and pop.

I did the dremel job - it's just shorter than the roofline, though for some reason, it seems bigger inthis pic. Eveytime I see it, I think I cut it a bit too short - but it looks great and WORKS great!
