the first line of the description says "NOTE**** THIS IS NOT A DIRECT REPLACEMENT TO THE V6 BUMPER COVER. MODIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR FITMENT!"

Can someone expound on that? Is this something that would need to be installed by a professional body shop or something?

can't figure out why anyone would want to put a GT grille on a V6 front end. Both models are classics.

The GT and V6 grilles appear to be identical in shape, size, etc. However their depth, width and mounting points are completely different. I had to replace the front bumper cover on my 6 Coupe and purchased a GT cover off the internet, had to wait for a GT grill due to backorder and had to jury rig my original grille in place til the GT one arrived. (Cut off mounting tabs and tie strapped and used foam core material to center grille in opening)
I am sure that the modification to install this kit should be within a person with some mechanical skills ability.

From what I have read in other threads relating to this installation that a lip is left at the bottom where the grille meets the bumper cover. You should be able to search this out on the forums.

Hope this helps.

But has anyone actually done it? I would not only like an opinion of how hard it was, but also how it looked.

Dave, use the search feature. Several people have put the GT fogs/grill on the v6 and some have documented how to do it.

Not sure what you mean. it will look like the front end of the GT except for the front bumper.

I was plannig to do the same but I noticed that the FenderWell is a bit different a the bottom where the bumper cover attaches, What have you done to overcome this or have you also replace the fenderwells.

Looks good, is the wiring harness all there where you can just add the Ford light switch or did you have to wire the fog lights to a seperate switch.
