Any Black GT's with FR500 Chromes?
Really like the 18x9 FR500's, am requesting if anyone has a picture of them on their ride please post em! Also, will a 275 tire fit these fine, or do you need a 9.5+?

Actually the FR500's aren't very popular on the '05+. (thankfully ) I have the black ones and I've only seen one or two others with them as well. Brad's Project Source Horse had the Anthrecite ones for a little while. I haven't seen ANY chrome FR500's on a new Mustang.

Just a matter of taste.
I hated the FR500's back when they came out for the previous generation Mustangs. Then while I was waiting for my car to get built, I was looking for a set of black wheels w/ a polished lip. There were VERY few choices for the '05 at the time and I one day I saw the black FR500's and thought "Hey. Those would look great!" But they didn't make them for the '05... yet. I made a few phone calls and found out they would be coming out soon. Yeah, right. It took another 6 months for them to be made. Needless to say, I had one of the first sets.
And the '04 pony center caps fit perfect so most people think they're factory wheels.

I've never seen one either, not too many FR500's on 05+ at all. Lots of Bullitts, though, LOTS of Bullitts. I like the GT500 wheels, but from what I've read, they are about the heaviest 18" Mustang wheel out there.

FR500s look GREAT on Shelby Cobra replicas...

Here are those pictures
The FR500 is one of the best wheels for the '05. I have gotten nothing but compliments on it and I love them. I got mine thru Wheelreplicas.com and they really helped me out. Tires are Nitto 555 255/45/18. I think the wheel will look great on a black car and provides good visablity to painted brake calipers!!!

I just wanna see some FR500 deep dish wheels for the '05+. I don't like the chrome as much on TG (though it does still look good).... I'm on the fence about black or grey ones... most likey black, but.... I lika da deep dish.

I found them on ebay, it's 698 for a set and 98 shipping. The fronts are 18x9 chromes, 26lbs, the rears are 18x10, 28lbs and are also deep dish. It will be a few months as I need to put some more miles on these tires. Can't see spending 160ish a tire on some Nitto's or something when these still have plenty of life. Waste not want not or somesuch.

Hello,
It's Been awhile since I did a Post here on TMS. A lot of water under the bridge as it were since my life was turned upside down with the loss of my Son Andrew.
The loss of my Job at Clevenger & Numerous Personal Challenges including Serious Health Issues. Lastly a Heart attack back in Late feb. I ended up with a double Bypass & after 3 months went back to work at Visalia Ford. Finally a Dealership that backed me up during my recovery.
On a Side note It's a four Minute Commute from Door to Door. It's even on the Same Street I live on. Back in the day it was Family Ford & Then Razzari Ford. It's where I started in the Parts Business.
I am doing Ok, working the Back Counter with the majority of the Tech's being the same age my Son would have been had he lived. I guess I kind of feel like a dad teaching them a thing or two about working at a Ford Dealership.
Well on to The Wheels. I have been Trying to get my Butt back in my 07 Gt-500. Time and Time again I almost sold her. But I kept her and maybe put a few hundred miles on her since 09. She is at 32K at the present. One foot in the Antique Side and The Other still new to me with details like the original Protective Plastic still on the Passenger floor.
I always liked the Wheels that Brad Barnett had on his 05 which I believe were a FORD GT Supercar Style Wheel. Well with the Brembo's Wheel Choices are slim especially if you want 18"s. I just got to have some Rubber on my wheels as far as height. I have never cared for the OEM Gt-500 Wheels.
Anyhoo, my search led me here and there and Finally back to where all my sn197 of Past Glory Days Started.
Here are some pics I found and Thought I would Share. Also a Link to The Supplier.

At some point I hope to get either The Anthracite or Chrome in Staggered Fit. It will be awhile as both myself & wife had surgery within months. She had a torn rotator cuff. The out of pocket bills will be around for awhile. Also the wifes Harley Truck decided to Fry the Ecm a couple of weeks back at 98K. Always something. Oh and Then the Windshield decided to crack on the 500 during it's hibernation.
Anyhoo, it gives me something to work toward & look forward to in The future.
Best to All!
