Antenna

If you have an aftermarket antenna, and drive 75 on the interstate (legal in South Dakota), you may experience a high pitched noise. I purchased one from AM, and at 75 there was an unbelieveable howl from the wind....not all the time, but when driving into the wind.
I posted my wind noise comment on another thread and a member advised me to check the antenna.
I removed the shorty, which was not "wrapped", cut down the "wrapped" factory antenna to 14" replaced the top ball, and no more wind noise. The shorty is now in my tool box.

cut off the factory antenna to the desired length . pop off the little ball on the end( I used a the claw on a claw hammer to knock it off. Grind the tip to a tapered edge and pop the ball on it. touch up with black paint or pain to color. I have had zero reception issues. total saving every penny I can
