Another variation of the PBF emblem-SD inserts only

I got the SD PBF emblems from Scott Drake and they looked beautiful, but the red anodized area looked a little pale. I emailed SD and got Paul and they were absolutely fantastic and sent me replacement inserts right away Their customer service is fantastic A+!

They are of course aluminum stampings and the edges are tapered. Its also great because the bases on my emblems are ON there and I loathed the idea of taking the whole thing off again. But these may make a great version to use on valve covers or wherever an ultra low profile use is needed. They don't sell them per-se but I wonder if they will allow you to buy just the inserts. I figured I'd take an (albeit lousy) photo of them before I replaced my old inserts. They are barely thicker then a business card, although you need to handle them carefully until stuck. They still have the protective plastic coating on them in the pic.
