Has anyone found an aftermarket kit for the skunk stripes?? I don't care for the factory ones, do thin and they don't go over the nose and tail.

Thanks!
Mike

Roush will be making some for the '05's. The already offer some for the existing cars.

I have said this several times. Just bring your car to a sign shop. They have hundreds of colours to choose from, including metallics. You can have them cut any stripe width you want.

It would be important to know which tape they are using and how well it will withstand environmental degregation. Tape stipes from a sign shop may look OK when new, then cause problems later. One important thing Ford and the better aftermarket suppliers do is test their products extensively before marketing these products. Buying from a sign shop does not provide this service.

Paint stripes are better yet.

For your information, FORD uses the same materials as everyone else. Vehicle grade vinyl is a 2mm vinyl that has a 9, yes 9 year life expectancy. The stripes that are on current FORD products only have a 5 year guarantee. Stripes from signs shop may look ok now and have problems later as you put it is no different than getting your car painted. At least if the stripe gets scratched, stone chipped, etc, you can just remove the stripe and reapply it. Vinyl is a lot cheaper than paint.

Moderators, this post should be moved to the exterior appearance group. Striping has been discussed several times.

As far as vinyl stripes go, I don't think you could go wrong by contacting www.bobwhitdecals.com I have found these prducts to be superior to others I have purchased in the past. Check it out!

I did - and glad to do so. Thanks for the tip. A lot less $$ than paint!
