mine came with the tape but I would think you could get it at an automotive supplies store that carries 3M polishing pads, adhesives, etc.

BTW, the pieces I received came with instructions and a roll of tape.

Anyway, if anyone has any interest, tonight I found a site that sells 3M adhesion promoter for the tape supplied with many of the aftermarket body parts.

www.cleanacar.com

The adhesion promoter is listed on the site under the "Accessory Products" heading and a can of it delivered comes to $38.54.

I bought some a couple years ago at an autpbody paint supply store. They sold it in a box with individual packets inside, packed up like wet-naps you get at a BBQ place to clean your hands after eating a big pile of ribs.

I probably still have most of the box I bought, but since I'm kind of in the middle of moving and most of my stuff is boxed up, I probably won't find them again for a couple of months.

It was a 3M product though, shouldn't be hard to find.

Not sure what some are replying about but: Adhesion Promoter put out by Dupli-Color is a clear primer for plastics. Used interior/exterior. Is in a spray can for around $5 and is available at most Auto Supply Stores.

What I was looking for was adhesion promoter for the tape that comes with the body parts vs. adhesion promoter for painting. I have the primer.

Tks,

the type of adhesion promoter to use for the double sided stick tape comes in a pen. They are called adhesion pens. Any autobody supply store will have them.
