Carwash soap, warm water, large soft-bristle paint-brush, then spray off with high pressure garden hose..

Worked on the originals anyway..

There's no way to keep them clean BTW - there is a vacuum behind the car that attracts the dirt.

Marcello, would you consider a grille for your next project? This is one that no one's making yet. A stock style without foglights or the pony. Like the '65 Shelby GT350. I've been thinking about making a custom one for myself, but I'm fairly picky so I probably wouldn't be happy with my own work.

BTW, any update on the bezels?

We already wanted to do a grill, but to do it "properly" is a very expensive, I mean very expensive proposition. Think 6 figures to do it properly, before you make the first production piece - I already priced it out. That said, the per-unit cost over a small run would be very high, and unless there is a line of people willing to put 500.00 each up in advance to do it, it just isn't feasible. I'm not trying to be negative here, just realistic, and I don't feel 500.00 is a fiar price to pay, so I don't want to ask anyone for that kind of money for that part. If it was doable for say 225-300.00, maybe, but the volume would have to be a lot higher, and I just don't know that it is there.

Regarding the bezels, another thread was just started on them, so I'm going to try and keep that one updated with news as it becomes available. We are working on it, and a new piece of equipment will be here Monday to help get it done.

Yeah. That's pretty expensive. I wonder how 5.0 Resto and 3dCarbon are doing their center fog grilles so cheap. Seems to me there's even more work involved in those.

Anyway, I finally broke down and ordered 3 used GT grilles and I'm going to attempt to make my own.

Thanks for the update on the bezels, btw.

Well, I won't speculate on how the competition is producing their parts, but I can guess based on the different methods that are available how they are doing it, or what they feel their estimated part run (ammortization) is.

There are lower-cost solutions to make the part, but like I said, to make it the way I wanted to do it was not going to be cheap, but it would pass as better than OEM when complete. So for now we pass on that project.
