'70 Mach1-style hood stripe available

Graphic Express sells this hood stripe for the hoods with a CDC shaker scoop.
Has anyone installed it yet?

Do they make this exact thing for the stock hood with the new stock hood scoop?

I have a 2005 V6 and would like to add this stripe with the new stock hoodscoop.

Does anybody know if the dimensions of the shaker and the ford scoop are close?

I don't think they're close in dimensions. You could probably call graphics express with the measurements of your scoop and have them make it for you.

Wow, that's a beautiful car!

I actually installed their kit for a 2003-2004 Mach 1 hood. I sent them a picture of it and they asked if I would drive to their facility so they could remove what I put on and make it better. Of course, I said, "OK"!

So, that kit they sell is now made for our hoods and the edge of the stripe contours the shaker ring perfectly! Or, you can butt it up against the trim ring. Since there is a gap on the real 2003-04 Mach 1's, I decided to have them do the same thing. They really wanted to butt it up against the trim ring for their website pictures, but they ended up liking it better with the gap.

The rear piece will contour the shaker ring perfectly, too (or it also can be butted up against the trim ring). The edge by the windshield will wrap around the hood (or you can trim it before installing it to make a gap like mine). They won't sell it with that gap because of the slight difference in the way the trim ring may end up being installed.

This next picture shows the gaps really good: (it looks closer to the trim ring on the left side because of the height (thickness) of the ring, but it's the same distance away all the way around)

I definitely recommend it... it looks great and I get a lot of compliments. Here's some more shots of the car:

Graphic-Express is currently working on new stuff for the factory hoods with the hood scoop (GTs and V6s), so I would wait for something that will fit perfectly. You can see what you want in the 2nd picture on that page, but the link isn't active, yet.

Thanks! I wasn't too thrilled with it at first, but I'm glad I left it on. They put that on there to take pictures and said I could keep it if I liked it. They also put on the rocker stripes because I let them borrow the car. They asked beforehand what kind I wanted and they were on when I picked up the car.

If anybody is wondering, I thought the 4" stripes that were on the 2003-04 Mach 1's were too wide. I wanted something to match the hood, but I also didn't want it to really stand out. I'm glad I went with the 2" stripe with no text. Here's a shot down the side of the car with the stripe:

Just trying to give you some more ideas, Louie!

Thanks... and no problem! The crown on the center of our hood is bigger than it appears to be. I hate this picture because the windshield looks like crap, but it shows how predominant the crown is (it cuts the sun in half!):

So, if you get this, make sure you use plenty of soapy water on the vinyl and on the hood. When you get the graphic into position where you like it, start to squeegy out water from the top center down along the crown to the bottom center. Then slowly squeegy the water out from the center to the sides. On a flat hood, the vinyl would only be curving in one direction, but on this hood it's curving forward and to the sides at the same time. As long as you take your time it will end up looking fine. Show some pics if you end up getting it!

Louie - make a decision, yet? What color were you thinking of getting? Silver?

Not yet, I'd rather wait for a stripe that is wider than the shaker hood ring.
As fo the color, dark grey and red are in the top.
