Your car right now= Your car + shaker hood scoop= Your car + shaker hood scoop AND Magnum 500 (Mach 1 Heritage wheels) = :worship: :headbang:

Any plans to do any of that other stuff? Or just sticking with the hood stripe?
Thanks John, that is what I had in mind. A 70 Mach 1 look short of slapping Mach 1 emblems on it. A nice honeycomb panel for the back would fininsh it off! Cash will probably hold me back as I still have the 66 GT Fastback money pit in the garage crying for attention.

Adrenalin, I'm sure I am not the first to think about using this stripe, the release of the shaker will likely spawn plenty just like it. Special thanks to 70MACH1OWNER for providing the measurements for the original 70 stripes. Because I went wider with the center stripe, I increased the gap from 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch. The outside stripe remains the original 2 inches. The space between thetop of the stripe and the glass is about 4 inches because that is what looked right to me. How this would all work with the shaker on the stock hood is unknown, might have to go narrower to duplicate the look of the 70.

Hey Drew,
Just found your car with the hood done. That really looks awesome guy. I was surprized how fast you reacted and got you hood done. I will keep my fingers crossed for you on the addition of the shaker. You da man!!!! :worship: :

I like the stripes, looks good. You have your trunk blacked out too? Can I see some pics of that, I have torch red and would like to see what a flat black black out looks like.

Thanks Scott, I really like the way it came out. It looks mean coming down the road at you. I went with the notion that I would not be getting the shaker. That led to making the stripe bigger to cover what I wanted on the hood. The way I have it set up now might not look quite right with a shaker because it is pretty wide at the point on the hood where the scoop would come through. I also did not worry about how far back the shaker would come out so the rear of my stripe might also not look right with a shaker.

For anyone who wants to do the shaker and this stripe, you'll want to mark off the cutout on the stock hood and line up the stripe from there. If you remove the heat shield under the hood you will see where CDC (and Ford?) intend for you to cut the hood. I didn't bother looking because my goal was for the best look of the stripe only.

I wonder how those stripes would look with the Roush hood scoop...?

...or would that be heresy?

EDIT: D'oh! Never mind...after reading the rest of the other thread, I see that you are way ahead of me...and that the Roush scoop is too far back to work....
