My plan as of now is to trim the stripe to just below the GT but I want to look into how hard it would be to remove and reapply over the vinyl.
To complete the BOSS look I am in the process of sanding down a set of GTR headlight covers
to get even a closer resemblance, see here 1970 BOSS
Still haven't figured out if I want to Bore or Stroke it out to 302.
What do you think?

For the emblem, if you're going to keep it, I think it would look better trimming the vinyl instead of applying it over the vinyl.
BTW, 3dCarbon makes that little "bar" that goes across the headlight. Looks exactly like the one on the Parnelli Jones Boss 302.
As for the motor. That's pretty expensive and in depth, just to get the right number. (302) I'd rather lie and just call it a 302. Or just call it a Boss 281.

No Pictures...
I suck at installing vinyl, I will have to order another hood center piece or mabey just have them painted after all...
and possibly sell the rest of the kit

Think you will find it will look best without the GT logo.
I looked into this in all forms and the GT looks kinda funny, Chrome vs Black striping.
But I do like the Boss stripes but went another route because I did not want to have to fill the logo mount holes and redo the fender

Buy the application fluid, I bought the prep cleaner and squeegee as well.
peel, cut and fold a section at a time of the backing paper coat the vinyl that you are applying with application fluid. Be careful not to get fluid on the backing paper that is left on your vinyl or it will stick to the adhesive.
once that section has been apllied and bubbles squeegeed out carefully peel the next section of backing paper.
The vinyl comes with paper on both sides, backing on the sticky side and application paper to hold the vinyl stripes in place while applying
Here is a pic of the decklid
