Who has done it?

What do you think of it?

How much did you pay?

Did you do complete kits, or only partial?

If you are in SoCal, who did yours, and do you recommend them?

Thanks!!!

There is a place up here in the bay area if you're ever up here. Tints R Us. I swear by their work. I love your personalized plate

I've had it done after a few people here posted positive reviews of the 3m treatment. The 3m product is nearly invisible and protects your car in areas that are vulnerable to chipping. I only had the front of the car done and I believe it was $300. You can go to the 3m website and find authorized dealers near your area.

Im looking into getting this done as well. I have someone that is checking it out for me, I think it will be the best option for protection on my car.

Try these two links. Kits or rolls...your choice!

I had this done to the bumper only, didn't like the line on the hood. Works great but is not cheap. I watched them install it and I am glad that Idid not try to do this myself. The bumper has lots of curves!

I couldn't find anyone to do it for less than 550 in my area for the whole kit. With my luck I'll get it, then end up smashing my front end. I'll pass. Plus you can definately see it, the lines are visible plain as day.

Dustin,

That is why I only did the bumper. That you cannot see as it matches up with body panel seams really well. The hood protection would be great to have but I figure I would probably get hit by "Smart Rocks" designed to impact my hood exactly 1 inch above the cover line.

I just had it done last Monday at a place called Car Pretty, I have had work done there before. The kit (three pieces) was $440.00 in Canadian funds. I also had two lower rocker Mustang stripes added total was about $617.00. Car looks very sharp. I was advised not to wash or wax the car for at least eight days to allow the 3m film to properly bound with the paint. You will notice if you get the 3M film protection that the film looks wet during the eight day period. After eight days it should be dried out hence this is why you cannot wash and wax until then. The 3M material accepts polymer sealant well and was suggested after the 8 day period. According to the Car Pretty staff there should be a slight line mark noticeable on the hood at the eighteen inch mark from the tip of the hood. I think a few coats of polymer sealant will diminish the line mark. I think it looks great and is well worth my $28,800.00 investment in the new mustang. On Friday I picked up Carlson's Polymer Sealant which was recommended by an autobody shop that specializes in cleaning up vehicles for the local car show.

I also had the headlights done and by doing so Car Pretty has guaranteed my headlights from breakage for four (4) years.
