2011 mirrors on 2006 GT

Just finished modifying 2011 mirrors to fit my 2006 GT, I really like them alot,
they are smaller then the 05/09 mirrors, they are identical to the 2010 except that they have the blind spot mirrors built in, they have totally eliminated the blind spot that I had on the left side, I never really had a issue with the right side.

The smaller 2011 mirrors looks awesome on your 2006. Exactly what modifications were needed to make them fit? I'd love to do the same on my 2008 Shelby GT. I've already gotten use the smaller mirrors on my wife's 2011 pony, including the built-in blind spot mirrors. Do you know were I can get a good price on the 2011 mirrors? I know the 2010 miirors (without the built-in blind spot mirrors) are cheaper, but I prefer the 2011 mirrors, like you installed. Thanks for posting the photos.

drill 1 new hole and elongate another, there is also a locating pin on the back of the new mirror that I decide to cut off instead of having to drill another hole, about 1 hour to remove old mirrors, modify and install new ones, plugs are the same.

Thanks Bill. I'm also in So. FL, so if you come across a good price for these mirrors, please send me a PM.

Im sure you could also find them in a junk/salvage yard. Want to see one in person to make my decision. These or the Agent 47 are on my list. These have the advantage of the mirror panels from SHR though.
