18" Bullitts
I want to get the 18" x 10" Bullitts when they come out. I was wondering if they would fit on the rear with no mod`s to the car. I was also thinking about leaving the 17" x 8" on the front. But I don`t know if this would effect the traction control and the ABS. Also I was wondering if I still would be able to put the Eibach Pro series springs on the car with the wider wheels on the back. If anyone has any insight on these questions I would greatly appreciate your input.
With the correct offset, 18x10 rims should fit without any effect on t/c, provided you use the same diameter tire. For example, a 285/40/18 would fit on your rim and would change your speedometer less than 1%, so it shouldn't effect t/c. Also, the Eibachs should work too, but this is also going to be offset dependent, to avoid rubbing the fender on good size bumps. By the way, this is all speculation. I don't have my car yet, so I can't go look at how much room is up under there between the fender and shock mounting, but I find it hard to believe that ford wouldn't leave room for wider wheels and tires than the 255/45/18's they have planned.
