18" or 20" need suggestions

Since I have lowered my GT, I still feel the need to fill out the wheel wells with either more tire or more rim...I have heard that I may have problems with 20's rubbing and my ride will suffer, so I am sorta leaning towards 18"s with a much taller and wider tire .... thoughts ?

you already have 18's. personally ,I think you are right with 20's making the ride rougher.Plus tires are way more expensive and your'e more subceptible to road and curb rash with 20's.You don't want the blades???

20's for looks.
18's if you think 0.05 sec is important.

Ride won't be that much worse -- it is a sporty car after all.

I have the 18x10/18x9 chrome Bullits from Mustang Tuning. If you are looking to go classic-old school, stay with 18's and have some decent rubber on them. The 20's are if you want new school/pimp look. Not much rubber and like what was said, more a possibility of damage from a bad bump. Also, you will have a rougher ride.

+1. Depends on the look. I personally have 20's and love the styling that comes with 20's.

You shouldn't have any rubbing issues with the 20's. Remember the reason you get less sidewall with 20's compared to 18's, 17's is your trying to keep the overall tire diameter the same. Unless you plan on recalibrating the speedometer then you can get whatever wheel and tire size you want.

The car is lowered using BMR springs I think its like 2 in rear and 1.5 in front...If I went with 20's I would still want a good size sidewall, that is where my concerns with rubbing would come in

I went with 18's and love the old school look. To each his own. I have seen the newer looks and not bad, just not for me.

1. the price difference in tires for 18's and 20's is not that much anymore
2. the ride quality is not going to be noticable. not only that, its a mustang not a lincoln so its going to ride stiff like a sports car should
3. theres just as much chance to damage a 18 inch wheel as there is a 20. if you dont watch the roads close and hit something hard enought to bend a 20 then it probably would have bent your 18.
4. sports cars are not supost to have the same size tires that light duty trucks have, and i cant believe my stock 17's had the size tires they did lol
5. the 20's will just plain look better then the 18's IMO

ok, new question, will my stock tires (235/50/18) fit on 18x10 rims till I need or can afford new tires? and has anyone else run 18x10's at all 4 corners and not just in the rear? too many choices

for your stock tires the rim width range is 6.5-8.5
