i can think of three reasons, its so that there aren't that many clones on the street, they can make even more money because no matter how much they charge people are still going to buy the parts. Lastly, they need parts to be availible when someone who owns a gt500 needs colision parts.

For those of you who installed the parts yourself did you paint the parts first (if thats possible on parts that size) then install them, or did you install the primed parts on the car and have them painted while they were on the car??? Thanks.

Also it sounds like maybe you might think they come pre-primed. They don't. They need prep, priming and paint before install.

Hi great looking conversion, in fact all the cars here look amazing.
quick question for you, where did you get the black rockers and are your stripes painted or 3M? if painted how much does it cost roughly? what about the transition between the masking tape and edge is there an ugly bump?

Well, I spoke to Kevin earlier today and finally pulled the trigger on the purchase of the GT500 front facia conversion kit. He was very helpful and a pleasure to do business with. Next I will be negotiating for the best pricing on a GT500 hood and rear bumper cover with some local dealers to complete my parts list.

I just wanted to say "Thank You" again Kevin for your help and suggestions also.

So I wrote an E-Mail to my local Ford Dealer asking about Shelby parts for a GT Mustang and got the following reply:
"I'm writing to you about your request for the Shelby GT 500 parts. I just got off the phone with Ford motor company and they are not releasing these. You can't buy them there as they are preventing people from cloning a vehicle that is not a GT 500 - very sorry that I can help you out maybe in a couple of years they will be available but as of right now you cannot get these parts. If you have any questions feel free to give me a call again my name is Nancy thanks."

ghetto.... love that look but IMO the blackout headlights is too much. I'm considering that RCF hood as well... do you endorse that product? Yours is '68 or '67?

it's a 68 themed hood.

a great quality hood-very little prep work was needed according to my paint shop. i can't imagine my conversion without this hood.

i can't help it, but i really like a dark, sinister, black-out look. i may even black chrome my exhaust tips.

**** that is sweet.

Where did you get the KR-style hood?

Also, what wheels are those--they look great! Size & width?

hello,

it's from the Race Car Factory. here is a link http://www.theracecarfactory.com/htm...iberglass.html to more pictures.

My wheels are made by a company called toxic. they come in chrome, gunmetal (which i have), and hyper black. http://www.lmperformance.com/16452/73.html here is a link with more information. 20x9 front, 20x10 in the rears. you can put some large tires in the front and back.

not many people have those wheels- i've only come across them one other time in all of california and i go to a few shows a year. actually come to think of it, i haven't seen them on forums either!

thanks for the compliments!

post some pix if you get them!
