Sylvania Silverstar bulbs are Xenon type that are as close to HID as you can get for a fraction of the price. Another company Nokya has some for both the headlights and the fogs.

Ordered some just yesterday afternoon.

H13 Headlights

H10 Foglights

7000K is a little too far on the "blue/purple" side of the scale for me, I prefer around 4000K. Let us know how you like them.

These are not true HID replacements. Those will be quite a bit more expensive. THe H13 (Headlights) arew about $50.00 and the H10 (Fogs) are about $25.00 or so. As for the temps? I have seen some that are "Cold Blue" that are in the 4000 range. Probably a bit less too!

I'll post the same question I did on the Saleen HID thread here... couldn't we cut the wires of the existing 9008 housing and put a different bulb? one that has a kit available? is the opening into the headlamp housing different for every bulb or is it sort of standard? I know I'm not paying 1,200 for HIDs from Saleen, but I defenitely want HIDs for the mustang. Ebay has some very inexpensive kits that look worth buying, but never the same bulb as factory... so, can we or can we not cut off existing bulb housing and put a different bulb?
Please, someone that knows a bit of electrical, answer.

Thanks!
