If you get dual exhaust on a v6 mustang could you use a GT body kit on a v6?

 

You can use a rear GT bumper cover with dual exhaust on a v6, but I had two different ones, a stock GT and a Cervini's, and had trouble getting either to match up perfectly, so I had 1/2" = 1" lip on the d/s of both. Not sure if it was my car or a difference in 05-09 V6/GT design.

 

Yes, rear bumper cover, decklid (spoiler), rocker moldings, and front bumper will all fit the same. The only catch is that depending on the kit, the v6 grille may not fit into the front bumper for a GT body kit, at least not without some potential minor modification. If you're going that far though, you might as well get the GT grille (if required for the kit).

 

The other thing to remember when going from a V6 front fascia to a GT front fascia is that the V6 and GT use different fender well linings so you'll have a small gap in the corners of the fascia. You could always buy the fender linings for the GT.

 

Well I was going to do a saleen rear with the dual center exhaust but I wasn't sure if it would line up

 

I can't find a write up on how to put a v6 grille on a GT.... Anyone know how?
