And now it's official. He's gone. Slide Gasol down to C and start the rebuild process for the Lake Show

Lakers are really gonna suck next year. Bryant is probably out until February or so, Nash is gonna be 40, no bench ... I'll be surprised if they make playoffs.

But there aren't many good free agents left.

Pretty much everybody who's good already found a team for the next season: Igoudala, Mayo, Milsap, Jefferson, Evans, Calderon ...

Yea that's very true,

Howard waited and waited, and lakers couldn't make any decisions, would have been good to have gotten milsap or Jefferson.

If Lakers were serious about keeping Howard - they knew his complains (coach and the aging team) ... They should've get rid of Nash, Artest and few other again plays for somebody younger and get a new coach.

That's the plan. Kobe will be back sooner than that though. This next season is sort of a throw away

Not till next summer. Then we only have Nash's contract on the books

Those guys make too much $$ for what we have left. Remember our two biggest contracts (KB- $30M, Gasol- $20) are still left from the old CBA. They take up nearly ALL the cap by themselves. It's not fair but that's how the cookie crumbles

I liked his game (if only he would accept his role he could be HOF material), but he simply isn't worth doing all that for. I'd rather let him walk and re-build in 2014

So the contract is setup that howard could leave 2016, kinda funny their already predicting a failure,
So being I live in his neck woods, took a photo of someone's past residence, ever since I was told he lived a town over, always curious where his place was, never could find it. Ive must driven by the road countless amount of times, But it came on the market, the house could be yours if you have 20 or so million.. Very surprised too, next to railroad tracks and highway system.

Good read.

Rockets give Dwight Howard what Lakers, Kobe wouldn't: unconditional love

I was gonna copy same article, pretty good read too!
To me it seems like Kobe was giving some tough love critiquing, to help Howard and Howard just wants to be "sheltered or pampered"

I think shaq was right in what he said this past weekend, "Howard can't handle the LA spotlight"

I'm sad we lost JJ Redick; next to Mike Dunleavy Jr. he was my favorite Bucks' player.

But I'm glad we signed O.J. Mayo.
