Lakers ... with the exception for the San Antonio game, I'm sure they will win the rest. I'm not gonna be surprised if they win all 5.
They have the dreaded back-to-back. And who knows when Nash can play. They've got to go all out, and hopefully Utah chokes

Utah was my 2nd favorite NBA time since I started watching basketball back when Derron Williams, Kirilenko, Okur, Boozer ... used to play for them.

That team wasn't bad. For whatever reason Derron Williams didn't like coach Sloan

He didn't like Avery Johnson much either ... he got him fired at Brooklyn.

Next to Rajon Rondo, Derron Williams is still my favorite NBA player.

Rondo doesn't really have big attitude problem, Williams is the biggest baby out there next to Howard and lebron.

Sloan was a awesome coach!! He was smart to walk away, he knew it wasn't worth his time to fight with that kid. Avery Johnson got robbed of a coaching job bcuz of him

Lakers got the had to have W last night 104-96 over the Pelicans. Kobe an Pau led the way along with an emotional boost from the return of Metta World Beast. He returned after just 12 days, but was expected to be out 4-6 weeks. Check DancingBarry's review:

For the time being, the Lakers have regained the 8th seed. They'll need another win tonight over the Blazers to maintain that. Portland would love for nothing more than to ruin their chances. The Lakers must be prepared to meet the challenge.

I watched the first half and then I fell asleep. The Lakers were really struggling and they were playing against the 2nd worst team in the West.

Hahaha! If I see MWP in North Korea I'll lose it! lol

Sidenote: I texted his brother when I went to the game last Friday (talked to him in PMs on some Lakers forums) I was so close to being able to meet him, but it didn't work out. Maybe next time

There was no question. The Lakers absolutely had to get this one to be in control of their playoff destiny. Behind the Black Mamba/Black Swan duo that led them to two titles and 3 finals appearnaces they got the win, and held off the Blazers 113-106. Check DancingBarry's review at Lakersground:

DancingBarry's Thoughts and Smiley Ratings

If you're not watching Kobe folks, you should be. This guy is special. He played all 48 minutes and put up 47 points (an oppoent record in the Rose Garden) on 52% shooting , 8 boards, 5 assists, 3 steals, 4 blocks, and only 1 turnover. All at age 34. #Vino. The Spaniard would not be denied either. He had 23 points, 7 boards, 9 assists, and 2 blocks. Dwight was no slouch and he chipped in 20 points, 10 boards, 1 assist, and 3 blocks. Steve Blake got some huge offensive rebounds in the clutch, causing Jim Rome to tweet that he was Rodman LOL.

The Lakers finally swept a back-to-back for the first time this season. The win put them in the driver's seat. They have only 3 games left (as does Utah), however, if they win out they will be the number 8 seed. They control their own destiny. Meet the challenge Lakers!!!

Big games for both LA and Utah tonight.

Utah should have no problems with the Minnesota. LA ... not so sure, Golden State likes to run at the fast pace; I think they're very similar to the Clipper, and that hasn't worked too well for the Lakers recently.

I saw the Bulls-Knicks game last night. Chicago is one weird team ... they can beat anyone, but can also lose to anyone. They could be out in the 1st round of the playoffs, but also could go as far as the eastern finale.

Lakers have to control the glass tonight. It's the key to slowing down the pace of the game.

They're 2-1 against the Warriors this year. Time to make that 3-1. Coach Mark Jackson was talking a little trash after the game last time, as if the Lakers needed any extra motivation lol
