I think the Spurs are tanking on first so they don't have to play LA in the first round.

Both Jazz and Lakers are 40-37 now.

Well being their tied, the lakers are 9th seed now

 

Utah does own the tiebreaker.

In a game they needed to control their own destiny, the Lakers fell to the Clippers 95-109. Injuries or not, the Lakers have had problems all season long with the Clippers. They were unable to win the battle of the boards, and couldn't protect the basketball. The result is a gauranteed loss against a team that thrives on fast breaks. Utah also won later in the day against Golden State. This means that Lakers will have to win at least 1 MORE game than the Jazz to make the playoffs (the Jazz hold the tie breaker). It's going to be tough, but trust me, no one is feeling sorry for the Lakers. Nash is questionable for Tuesday's game against New Orleans. MWP is most likely out as well.

Utah has the momentum, but the Lakers have the easier schedule.

 

I think the schedules are about even. But regardless the Lakers need Utah to lose for them to have a shot

 

Its kinda hard to tell ... Utah can win all games left, but they can also lose to the Oklahoma, Memphis and Minnesota away.
Lakers ... with the exception for the San Antonio game, I'm sure they will win the rest. I'm not gonna be surprised if they win all 5.
