Very true Steve!
If the strike would not have happened... I think Crosby would have been one frustrated Pen next year.

The sad thing about pittsburgh is given their current arena situation, they may have to move if they can't get another one built.

I personally think that with the new economic system there is a chance that 2 teams could come back to Canada, in fact I think it would be better for the leauge.... I'd love to see the Jets and Nordiques back in the NHL.

Mario was on the radio this morning. He mentioned that he is still looking for an arena. He is waiting 6 months or so to see what is happening with the slots revenue in PA. He is planning on using that for a new home.

He said if that does not come through, a new stadium might not happen.

On a good note. Phil Borque was on the radio. He said that the players have the same feeling as the players did in the early 90s. Until recently the players always skating on the ice with a feeling of, I hope we don't loose too bad. But this year, they all skate with a feeling that they will win.

four of the eight losses were in overtime, so they weren't a "complete" lose (keep telling yourself that, keep telling yourself that, keep...)
And they are losing as we speak
