I'm really hoping that this "unprecendented profit-sharing proposal" will result in the NHL getting back on its feet. Anyone have some thoughts?

I really think Bettman's goal is to declare an impasse and use replacement players to break the union.

I've all but given up on watching the Sabres throw away another perfectly good season... maybe next year. I just hope all this doesn't lead to the demise of the NHL. If it does, I would be surprised because I know I have seen some very devoted NHL fans. Next to the NFL, NHL is the next best thing out there.
