Franklin Fired! (Auburn)
What do the Aubies think about that?
Discuss.
My thoughts - bad move since CTT wants to leave the spread offense in for the rest of the season. Firing the only guy that had a clue about it wasn't the brightest thing to do. Maybe he can pick up a copy of "Spread for Dummies" at Barnes and Noble and figure it out.

I said it at the beginning of the season. the offense wasnt going to work against SEC defenses. They are too big and too fast and basically plow over the small offensive line that the spread allows you to play. Which in turn has left our defense to carry us in each game and they are wore out by the end of the 3rd quarter.
I dont think firing him may have been the right choice, but reassessing your situation and play style is definitely a strong consideration at this point.

Doesn't matter who is calling the plays in this offense. Auburn will not be successful in this offense, because they do not have the personnel for it. Auburn needs to line up in the I-formation with at least one tight end and get that initial block with a fullback. What Auburn does best is running the ball at their opponents.
