I just saw that the Fed Cup semifinal round, USA vs. Russia, is coming to Birmingham, AL in April. The dates are April 24-25, the same weekend as the NASCAR races at Talladega. Tickets will go on sale the week of March 8.

I attended the Davis Cup first round event last year. It was well attended, and great fun. That was the highest attended first round match in US Davis Cup history.

April will be a busy month in the 'Ham. Grand Am and Indy Car races at Barber the 9th-11th, then Fed Cup tennis two weeks later. W00t!
