I feel good about it this time... Maybe it was how close they almost made it to the playoffs this year.
Last year, I was sorta looking forward to the Packers A.F.

Official NFL Announcement
The NFL announced today that for financial reasons they had to eliminate one team from the league. So they've decided to combine the Green Bay Packers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and form one team, causing many layoffs, but saving millions of dollars in costs.
They will be known as the TAMPACKS.
Unfortunately, they're only good for one period and have no second string...

Lol, I like Favre (he's one of my favorite quarterbacks ever), but really, why keep playing? One person doesn't make a team. If they don't make it to the Superbowl and win it next season, he will have wasted time that he could have spent with his family (and not getting beat up on the field). Not to mention if he gets injured.

Alot of people in my area bad mouthed Barry Sanders for hanging em up when he did. But I don't blame him at all. Why put it all on the line for a team that isn't going anywhere, when you don have to.

Did you happen to see that thing on HBO last night about the retired football players who can't even walk, and neither the players association or the owner will help them out. From personal experiences, I can appreciate what these guys are going through. They have a very short period of time to exploit their talent for financial gain. Then they are done and many of them are crippled. Its just a shame.
