The Miami Dolphins today announced that they terminated the contracts of quarterback Jay Fiedler, safeties Arturo Freeman and Shawn Wooden (failed physical), and defensive end Jay Williams.

So, I guess AJ Feely is the guy unless they go free agent and/or draft someone else.

Nick Saban-
(On if Edgerrin James will ever play for the Dolphins) – “When you ask me a specific question like that, ever is a long time. Will my wife ever leave me? She has had several opportunities and probably should have a long time ago. I am happy that she didn’t. That’s kind of a tough question. Edgerrin James is an outstanding football player. He has had an outstanding career to this point. If the opportunity ever presented itself for that guy to be our team it would be certainly something that we would work in to and see if the possibilities would be something that would help us become a better team.”

With the Colts franchising James, I don't know if the Dolphins will pay the price to get him. Travis Henry is a possibility as is Cedric Benson with the second pick.

I'm hoping for good things this year. Last season was the worst I've ever had as a fan of the team.

I think they hung on to a terrible coach too long, they should do better with Saban, coaches with affiliation with Belichick are getting the jobs right now, much like those that worked with Walsh when the Niners were thriving.

Oooo...
Two washed up safeties that couldn't make it on another team, I think I smell a Detroit Lions off-season acquisition in the works.

I'll be interested to see who the Dolphins pick up in the draft and FA, especially any pick ups at QB. Can't wait to see if Saban decides Feely was a mistake, or tries to work with him and build a good offense around him. Also like to see how he compares to the "Steve Spurrier Experiment".

Saban had some NFL as an assistant so it should be better then Spurrier and his ego.

Pretty please let the Dolphins be better this season. I almost couldn't stand to watch them last year. I really think they are gonna need a better QB and it would be nice if they could get a hold of Cedric Benson. I'm not gonna hold my breath but hopefully they will get better.

WOW there are other Dolphins fans out there!!!!

I thought I was the only one, living in Texas and all.

I think the Dolphins will be better this year, but they will miss the playoffs again. 8-8 tops, we might have 2 good RBs but we still need a clutch QB

Pre season may be the only time I tune in a dolphins game. Directv nfl package is great! Steelers vs dolphins on saturday. Go Gus! Drafted from Indiana State University of Pennsylvania, a second tier school.
