One outta five ain't bad!!....well......yes it is.

Doesn't it seem like this always happens. You mention something, then BOOM! Just like when a pitcher has a no hitter going, and whack, a hit. Or if team has shutout it's opponents for the last -- quarters, then touchdown!

Oh well. It still is the worst finals that I've never seen. I actually watched reruns of the 84 Finals on ESPN classic last week. I'd rather watch those than current ones.
If that's the case, you all can thank me for a great game 5.

Also, I wish people would quite talking about Horry just because he got lucky and hit a last second 3 pointer. He isn't even in the top 50 players as far as points per game, whereas 4 of the 5 Pistons starters are in that list.
That's the reason everyone is talking about Horry. He bides his time during the regular season, then steps it up in the playoffs and even more during the finals. Here is a quick stat to illustrate that, during the regular season he scored in double figures 15 times out of 75 games played (20% of the time). In the playoffs he has scored in double figures 10 times out of 21 games (48% of the time). That clearly shows he steps it up in the playoffs. Not to mention this isn't the first time he has done this, he has been a part of 5 NBA championships and is one game away from a 6th. He is also the all time leader in 3 pt fg in NBA finals history. He deserves to get some publicity, and his game winning shot had a lot less to do with luck (he hit 5 of 6 threes in the last second of the 3rd qtr, the 4th qtr and overtime) then it did with Rasheed Wallace forgetting how to play defense.

Robert Horry hit a great shot. Plain and simple. He, as always in his career, waited until the end to heat up and he should've been guarded. You couldn't script a better outcome to a pivotal game (if you're a spurs fan). Ginobili did not need to be double teamed. At best, Manu would've drove to the basket and maybe gotten fouled, then the game goes into a second overtime. But hey, game 5 is over. Detroit needs to brush it off and bounce back in san antonio.

Congratulations to the spurs. They deserve it. We'll be back next year. Ginobili was robbed of the mvp. Nuff said.

I don't think they deserve it. Other than Game 2, Pistons were better team in rest of the series. However, Robert Horry was there to punish every little mistake Pistons made.

What about Game 1, the Spurs won by 15, pretty impressive since they were down by 13 in the first quarter, out scoring the Pistons 80-52 since the 5:00 mark int the first quarter. Game 2, the Spurs dominated. Games 3 and 4, the Pistons won handedly. Game 5 was the best game of the series, could of gone either way, both teams equally deserved to win. Game 6, the Pistons out played the Spurs. Game 7 the Spurs finally played like they had all year long and deserved to win Game 7. So what you have is 3 games the Spurs deserved to win and 3 games the Pistons deserved to win and one toss up game. Sounds like a pretty even series to me.

Down by 13 in the first quarter....that's nothing. Usually a team goes down by 20, only to make it a close game in the 3rd quarter. For example, 75% of all NBA games.
