Great.....defensive struggle.....can't wait for the scores..... 42-34, 51-49, and a perhaps a shootout of 63-59.

So when did Larry become a Jerk?

I also remember people saying that the Pistons didn't have a chance against the Lakers last year....yea, I think they have a ring though right? Yup that's what I thought. I also believe that the Heat swept every team in the Playoffs except the Pistons...wonder why, CAUSE THEY'RE GOOD! Even without "allstars" eh, bring the Spurs on I haven't doubted them all this year I'm not gonna do it now. Piston fans are used to the criticism anyhow. We're a team with no "allstars" and still whoop on people and STILL have the best starting 5 in the league and STILL have the best Defense in the league...eh, LET'S GO PISTONS.

That wasn't LB's call, you gotta get your facts man. That was Joe D. and given that mistake he's done a very fine job with that franchise. I agree it wasn't the best decision, but it didn't/doesn't seem to matter right now because they're at the finals....again. LB's also taking his time and working with Darko in practices, hopefully we'll get something out of him next season. At least if he gets a little more body he maybe able to at least keep Shaq from running over our centers.

That may be true, BUT if Pistons drafted Carmelo Anthony instead of Darko Milicic, Anthony would be in starting 5 right now. How the heck is Milicic supposed to be good player when he plays 30 sec every other game? And its not only Milicic, Arroyo and Delfino also don't get any playing time. Back in 76ers, Brown was keeping Toni Kukoc on the bench ... we're talking about the guy who won 3 titles with the Bulls and he was in starting 5. Brown just don't like foreign players, that's why Milicic is on the bench all the time.
And that's why I was cheering for Miami in this series. I don't like Shaq (I'm Kings fan after all), but I hate Larry Brown even more.

Do you know who Nenad Krstic is? He's Nets starting center. Against O'Neal in the 1st round he was averaging 18.3 pts and 7.5 rebounds. Not bad for a rookie, huh? And Milicic is a lot better than Krstic. I remember when both of them were playing in Serbia, Milicic was a lot better.

No, the Pistons don't have the best defense in the league, they have the second best. Spurs allowed 88.4 ppg, Pistons allowed 89.5 ppg. I hardly consider the win of the Heat as impressive, they barely beat a team that had their best two players injured, doesn't say much to me. Also, the Heat didn't play anybody in the first two rounds. Just look at the matchups, the Spurs match up very well.
-Tony Parker v. Chauncey Billups edge Spurs
-Bruce Bowen v. Rip Hamilton push, just for the fact that Bowen will shut down Hamilton, you won't get much offensive from him but that won't matter if he holds Hamilton to 5 points.
- Manu Ginobli v. Tayshaun Prince edge Spurs, Prince's length may pose problems for Ginobli but he is just too scrappy, he more or less won the Olympics for Argentina, and is the second best player in this series.
- Tim Duncan v. Rasheed Wallace edge Spurs, Duncan is probably the best player in the league, look at his career statistics, talk about consistency, not to mention he was all-NBA defensive first team, so he brings it on both sides of the ball.
- Nazr Mohammed v. Ben Wallace edge Pistons
- Bench edge Spurs, with the likes of Horry, Berry, and Robinson coming off the bench, they are pretty good when the stars are resting.

You say that like he actually had something to do with the Bulls winning.

Well, let's see.
In 1995/1996 he was named NBA Sixth Man of the Year. When Bulls won last 3 championships, he was averaging 13.1/13.2/13.3 pts per game. Only 2 Bulls players averaged better (Jordan and Pippen). So he did more for the Bulls during those 3 season than Steve Kerr, Ron Harper or any other scoring player other than Jordan and Pippen.

So which of these is true then, you can't be a starter and be 6th man of the year. The Bulls would have still won without Kukoc.

When he was 6th Man of the Year Bulls didn't won the Championship. That was during those 2 season when Jordan wasn't playing and Houston Rockets won 2 titles. He later becamed 1 of starting 5.

Just looked at the numbers, he started a grand total of 83 games in those three seasons or about a third of the games. My argument is that if Kukoc was injured those three years and he didn't play a single game, the Bulls would still have won the title each of those three years.

Let me ask you this: Who was more important for Bulls during those years Harper or Kukoc? Kerr or Kukoc? Longley or Kukoc?

Out of those group of guys, I would say Kerr was the most valuable, but Jordan and Pippen are the reason the team won three years in a row, not those other guys, they weren't the greatest of supporting cast, none of them had a significant career. How did we get this far off topic? Oh yeah, Darko is what started it. If the guy could shoot he would get more playing time. You have to shoot better than 30% as a big man to expect more playing time.

No, Jordan and Pippen couldn't win all those Championships by themselves. Somebody had to rebounds (Rodman and Longley), somebody had to score when Pippen and Jordan were on the bench (Kukoc), and somebody had to come from the bench and score (Harper and Kerr).

Back to Darko. If you play 30 sec per game and you take only 1 shot per game, how are you supposed to have good stats? He only got a chance to play a lot of minutes once this year and that was at the end of the season against Atlanta Hawks. He got 16 pts (FG 7-11), 5 rebounds and 3 blocks in 30 min. The rest of the games he played very little and took 1 or 2 shots per game. If you don't get any playing time you won't have good statistics.
