The SF Gaints showed everyone that it pays to be a media snob, walk out on your team mates, use drugs (allegadly), not work hard on you game, be injury prone and overall an unlikable person. They signed Berry Bonds for 1 year worth $16 million and the contract also has performanc bonuses of an additional $4 million.

I just don't understand how this guy is even worth close to this much anymore and after the season he had last year and how he treated his teammates why you would pay him this?
