No question about it. A shaker hood can provide a very imposing look for the car. The feeling it provides the driver is incredible.

That would be cool, bu why have it made by Roush??

Roush has a partnership with ford and does a lot of prototyping/designing stuff (don't know all the details)
Watch the Rides episode about the Cobra Roadster concept...
The engine was done at Roush.
This is nothing new.
It'll still be a Ford manufactured/teamed effort with maybe Roush doing the engine testing....

Haha, somehow I feel like I missed out on something really funny.

You know I have always loved the 03 - 04 Mach1s. But i really have been wanting to see a 5.4L NA Mach1 with the New Stangs. That would be awesome and i would do whatever i could to get my hands on one.

Have you guys noticed the fact that not too many people have gotten excited about the California Special? I would think the Ford spies relay it back and perhaps Ford would decide to make the Mach 1 the first SE.

George, I hope you are right. Since I was 3 years old (1969), I've always loved the Mach 1. I'd rather have one of those than a new version of the Boss or GT/CS.
Oh yeah, almost forgot. BRING BACK GRABBER BLUE TOO! (Original rendering by pickardracing was in Comp Orange, and can be seen here http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?sh...dpost&p=578958)
Ditto, please Ford give me something so I wont have tuck my tail between my legs when an 09 F-bod featuring an LS2 pulls up to the light. A 5.4 3v with a bit more cam and tuned to run on premium fuel would do nicely

I know THE Motor will be 32 Value V8 motor it could be the 5.4 V8 but I think Roush will go with 5.0 cam V8 over 400 hp with 6speed man and 6speed auto.
Sounds like a BOSS 302
Also sounds like they are prepping for anything GM wants to throw in the Camaro/GTO that would pose a problem.
ie: LS2
The next step would be the LS7 but that would be in teh GT500 realm.
So they are trying to cover all of the bases.

Well . . if all the rumors of Challenger and Camaro pan out it might be wise for Ford to sit on a Mach/Boss SE until the introduction of one (or both) of the said rivals comes to pass. That being said it sure would be cool if MAch/Boss made its way to the market sooner, but what would Ford offer to the masses if/when the other two come to market?

People seem think there is something magical about 5.0 liters. We have two engines right now, and neither displaces that magical 5.0 liters. We're doomed...
That said, they could make one heck of a production engine with an aluminum 4.6 and the FR500-based heads/cams/intake. Or a 5.4 liter version, but they would have to make an intake. Got Boss?

While I'd love to see the Mach I and firmly believe Ford will make one, I'm personally wanting to see Ford introduce a Boss version. The order of introduction doesn't concern me, all I care about is that Ford makes a Boss at some point.
If Ford restyles the Mustang in a few years and adds the hips from the '69 - '70 cars, that would be the perfect time to bring back the Boss!!
