I don't know, but I wouldn't doubt it's a 2-piece driveshaft.
It is a fast car and critical speeds can cause a one piece to bow and possibly break, so rather than increasing diameter it is safe to use a 2-piece with less diameter.
The one piece driveshaft on the V6 is quite hefty.
Another thing to know is that 68" is the maximum practical length that a driveshaft can be. At that point and over, 2 or more piece is required.
I don't think the GT500 is that long, but I do think the critical speed makes a 2-piece neccesary.
