I have no pboblem with dealers putting this on ebay as long as they didn't promise to someone else. My dealer told me up front, they will sell this car for as much as they can. Well, he was honest about that. I just think it's funny that on this ebay item, the dealer lowered the reserve amount. Couldn't get what they wanted for it. Daarrrnnnn.

I doubt any Ford dealer would sacrifice their integrity, reputation, and good name in exchange for money. Every dealer I've ever dealt with (including the one I introduced to the State Attorney's Office
) claimed honesty and customer service were their upmost primary goals.

Over at the Mach 1 Registry there were quite a few who got screwed, royal all around, but of course, they were the first to show off their popular Mach 1s. They stopped bragging once invoice plus rebates became just as popular if not more.
By some coincidence, I innocently brought up the subject on a couple of occasions. I can tell you it didn't go down too good.

I still can't get over how so many are concerned about how others spend their money. You may call those of us willing to pay over MSRP "stooooopid", but I can tell you that I know what I am doing and I also know others will be getting their Shelby at or below invoice someday.....but I don't give a crap. I've said it many times, "If you are willing to write the check, the price isn't too high"
I don't see the value in people spending another $10-20,000 to mod a car out for special paint jobs, special effects, and outlandish horsepower, knowing they, too, may never recover the money spent....but I will never call them "stupid". They are doiing what makes them happy and it probably gives them BRAGGING rights amongst their peers.
It's all relative you see.

I think everyone is having a little fun. If people want to spend whatever the amount over they want that is their business. It is their money after all. I would not do it on ebay though as some of the ones that we have seen advertised of late are people selling their spot for the amount over MSRP. The problem being that they don't even know if they are getting the car at MSRP.
That can lead to all kinds of problem if someone pays for that spot and the person defaults due to them not making any money or perhaps paying out of their pocket for the amount over MSRP they were not counting on.
If someone wants to go to the dealership and pay over that is their deal. I am not in a position to do that. I can afford the car fine at MSRP, when you start talking over MSRP, especially 2K+ then I am willing to wait.
However that is my choice and people can give me a hard time over that, but Uncle Sam doesn't pay me that much.

I hear ya, guy. I also want to tell you that I'm very appreciative of your military services. I had the same problem back in '69 when I got out of the USMC. I wasn't able to buy a car while I was in, butI saved my money and was able to make a down payment on a new Boss within a few months of getting out. I loved that car.

Thank you. I love my job and enjoyed serving in the Army for quite some time, now I am able to afford the Shelby since I am commissioned in the Air Force now. That and I try to spend my money wisely.
I look forward to the pictures of your new Shelby when you get it!
