Only diff is the dealer bought s/c'd Roush will have a warranty for engine and drivetrain. However, if you buy the Roush twins-screw and get it put on your self, Roush warranty the blower AND engine/tranny (yes, it's true - never thought I'd see it myself). Roush blower = $5K, so up my final cost to $40,000 for a blown, warrantied Roush (using same install cost).

where you get the info. on the Roush Blower Warr. ? and how long does it keep effect ?? ( SCs usually come w/ 3 yr factory on it only )

i am assuming it will be the Factory Warr direct from Roush ?

if you plan to do this - we be interested in the results ....

I know - I was very surprised to hear this. Apparently Roush have done this before, however.

I went down to Hillbank Performance in Costa Mesa CA. and Chris told me about the warranty. I asked him if was sure it was not just the blower they warrantied, and he confirmed that it was engine and drivetrain too. I also think I saw it on the roushperf.com site (the prices on roushperf. com are insane - use the site for info only).

Personally, I think we have to assume that 8psi boost is safe (hence Roush's confidence and warranty cover) and therefore any quality supercharger should be safe at that pressure. The only thing they said at Hillbank was that Roush really went to work on their unit and it's supposed to be an excellent piece of work.

I'm currently torn between Vortech @ $3,450 and the Roush @ $5,300ish (with warranty). Prefer the ts charger over the cent. too, for immediate gratification!

been told this engine is o.k. w / 8.5 psi boost -- but needs to be intercooled past 6.5 psi ---

to me - the Roush sounds more of a safe bet -- despite the extra cost --- as they put a Warrenty and so are willing to stand behind their work -- anyway - if it is not designed in conjunction with Ford -- like Roush and Saleen are --

then it would be questionable to me --- if things break as a result of using the other blowers, the extra savings can dissappear fast ---

With the complete suspension kit it lowers the front about 3/4" lower & 1" in the back.

The Roushcharger system looks like the one. It really looks very well engineered, very OEM-like quality to it. Does anyone have any more information or pics of this set-up? I have the actual installation .pdf file for anyone who is interested. It's 5mb and 60 pages long!

Does anyone have one of these installed on their car yet?

My stang...

Reading thru this I keep seeing reference to the Roushcharger as being a twin screw. Accroding the the SEMA announcement it is a roots styled S/C. If it was a twin screw I would be more interested in it, but I am looking at the saleen because it is a twin Screw. I do like the warranty Roush is offering.

It's an Eaton roots type M90 I think, or MP90. I'm not sure what the differences between the two are. I'm choosing the Roush over the Saleen, despite the fact that the Saleen is a twin-screw and looks to be larger to boot. You can make plenty of hp with both so for me, what it boils down to is which one I prefer packaging-wise. I just prefer the Roush for that reason - I think it looks more OEM to me which is what I want, although the Saleen is somewhat handsome as well.

yes, the OEM look of the RoushCharger blends in nicely with the factory setup -- Saleen reportedly produces more power, but it just depends on what one is expecting from the modification.....

I'm definitely going with the Roushcharger even though it packs the lowly 'HEATon' roots blower.

Very nice red Roush! I like the bumper without the holes in it. Does Roush use bilstein as their vendor for shocks/struts? Got any pics of them under the back of your car? Are you gonna Roushcharge it?

Actually the warranty is just the icing on the cake. Since I'm doing my own install I may not qualify for the warranty coverage as they require a certified installer, although I'm not sure how strict they are with this matter.

Overall, I just like the way the kit is designed, and the way it looks installed. That is a big deal for me when I'm choosing aftermarket parts for my car. And there's always the added confidence of Roush's experience and relationship with Ford. The kit is very similar to what you will find under the hood of an '03/'04 Cobra, although the Cobra does utilize the larger M112 compressor. I really want something I can bolt on and forget about for a while, something that looks and drives like it came with the car. The performance of this kit is also right at about what the '03/'04 Cobra makes stock, and my car should weigh about ~50-100 lbs less than what those cars weigh after the install. It is a compromise in absolute hp potential relative to most of the other kits out there, but you really need to look at the whole system and not just the numbers, IMO. If you want more power later, there are other things that can be done such as CNC/hand ported heads, exhaust, and an '8 psi' pulley. In other words, I will work around the limitations of the M90 when the time comes for more power. I'm not looking to set any internet records for rwhp, and I'm also not looking to install a forged rotating assembly any time soon either.

It really boils down to what is important to you, and what you want to do with your car. There are a lot of nice kits available already and there are things I like about every one of them. Roush just has the most of what I'm looking for in a supercharger system.

i will take pics under the car in a day or two.shocks say roush on them, but I will look closer.I am awaiting a shelby cobra, but if something happens or I don't like the shelby,we will do the roushcharger on this car.The handling on the roush stage 2 is incredible and I don't think the shelby will handle as well with the added weight.

It probably won't. A mag article I just read on the Stage 2 was quoting 1.01-1.02 Gs.

Very nice reasoning RandyB, I agree the way the mods look on the car are a big deal to me as well.

I did not realize the Roush was that good on the Gs!!

That is very impressive, maybe if the Shelby falls through I should take another look at the Roush.
