Bobbo is right in Roush S1 - performance exhaust w/o CAI or Flash - S2 adds the Complete Suspension Upgrade w/o lowering to the Core Components S1 Package - Lowering the Stang is not a Roush Option - S3 adds the Roushcharger to S1 + S2 - Saleen does have CAI and a flash - and of course you get smoked by a 400+ hp Saleen ( last report from an owner their blower adds about 112 to initial setup) -

read the nos. in MM&FF Magazine on Roush S1 - nice potential - better styling than Saleen - and when those Long Tubes, Cams and Heads go on - Roushin will be a force for Mr. Saleen to reckon with ...

Roush Stage 1 adds only the exhaust - no CAI or tune/flash. It is good for 3-5 hp per Roush email response.

I have not heard of anything from Roush besides Stage 3 with S/C that will increase power.

I also agree that the look of the exhaust is great...really one of a kind.
It looks like you have a sport like me, and you say the the stg 1 adds exhaust? My sport has the exhaust, your doesn't? I was under the impression that the stg 1 only adds the 18"wheels.

On that RIDES special that focused on Roush, they showed you them doing a Stage 3 and in the Stage 2 process you watched the guy put in the new Roush Springs...... even sat the stock ones alongside on the bench......

I am not sure what I meant either. LOL.

You are right. The difference between Sport and Stage 1 is wheels and tires. The only "performance" mod the Sport adds over stock GT is the exhaust.

The Roush Dealer told me (in person) the lowering was not an option -

evidently, Burke, the Dealer was wrong :bang: - and yes, i believe any Roush would look sweet after lowering - especially after the sight on t.v. -

The Dealer i visited had: 3 Sonic Blue / 2 yellow / 1 white / 1 black / 1 redfire / 1 satin silver / and 2 torch red Roushes on his lot !! -
none of them were lowered - and they all had stock springs - i looked at each of them -

GREEK! You stole my Avatar!

I mean, WE stole the same Avatars!!

I did not detect pickering, just people wanting accurate info...and I have been guilty of being far less than precise.

What's the deal with the bumper covers on the rear? Some have the black cutouts like in the MM&FF issue and some don't? Is this a Sport - Stage 1 difference? Roush's website sucks and the dealer's knowledge about them is even worse so maybe you guys can help.

Also, on the leather trim option, can I get blue/black leather or does it have to be Red/black? My car is going to be white with blue stripes and I want blue trimmed seats If I can get them.

My local Roush dealer has a mess of 05's they can't give away so I've picked out the one I want but I want to add some options to it while I'm financing so I can get it out of the way.

Thanks,Doug.

The black Inserts in the rear bumper are no longer part of the Roush package - the company had gotten negative feedback on them and quit offering them sometime this last spring.....most of them were installed at the Roush factory in Lavonia....

Regarding the seats, the Authorized Dealer should have a " Roush Dealer Ordering Guide " - a binder detailing the available options --

Not sure if this had been posted before or not - did a quick search and did not see anyting -

This is an email I and response I sent to Roush the other day:

You submitted the following question on 9/28/2005.

Q:
Looking to buy the GT 500, Foose Stallion or Roush stage 3 when available.
Would like to know approx performance numbers and price for stage 3. Thanks.

A:
Erik,

The Stage 3 will be out by roughly mid to late fall the HP will be around
410 to 430HP at the flywheel and almost 400 ft lbs of torque. We here really do
not know the exact price but it will probably be around $50,000 maybe a little
less.

Thanks RPP.

Seems a little high $$ to me, but that may be cheaper than the gt 500's are going for on the street, so who knows...

Running the Bassini stainless axleback right now -- deep Cobra Jet - like sound and a little throaty when you hit it past 2 grand --- no sound or resonance when hi-way cruising....

plan on the Bassini X-pipe and off roads w/ option for hi-flo cats -- Nino Sport sells it as the entire package --- will post when done -- scheduled to be done in couple weeks time....

Holy Carp! That IS pricey. I got my 05 for $26,750. Add Roush kit + install for $3,500 = $30,250. Add killer rims and tires (19x8.5 front, 19x10 Racinghart multi-piece wheels, Toyo T1S's) for $3,600 = $33,850. Vortech coming soon for $3,500, figure $800 for install (very rough, ballpark #) = $38,000 for my 430hp Roush.

Only diff is the dealer bought s/c'd Roush will have a warranty for engine and drivetrain. However, if you buy the Roush twins-screw and get it put on your self, Roush warranty the blower AND engine/tranny (yes, it's true - never thought I'd see it myself). Roush blower = $5K, so up my final cost to $40,000 for a blown, warrantied Roush (using same install cost).
